They Change You Until…

I created another image this week based on a haiku I wrote for the Cthulhu Haiku 2 anthology by Popcorn Press (psst- the book is $0.99 on kindle btw). The photo is from a basement in downtown Aurora. I heard rumors this area flooded so who knows what may have found its way in from the river…

They change you until 2

Here’s the image I created last week in case you missed it. Don’t open a book with a cover like this, mkay? Who do you think you are, Ash Williams?

Thanks for watching!

Tuesday Haiku

Here’s a little something I whipped up awhile back for Lester Smith’s anthology, Cthulhu Haiku 2. Are you scared?

What else? I just finished up a new short, horror story called Fresh from the Vine. Getting ready to send it out for publication sooo…productive day! Thanks for stopping by.

I Is Published.

Since November I had some work published in a couple books. Both are weird fiction/ Lovecraftian type things cuz hey, I’m weird fiction and this is a way for me to exercise my inner tentacles. The first was Cthulhu Haiku 2 and More Mythos Madness by Popcorn Press. This is a great compilation and it is $0.99 on Amazon. That is a ridiculous value if you’re into this kind of thing. Seriously. If you buy it and don’t like it, I’ll send you $1.00. I’ve got a handful of haiku in this one. Bam! I posed with my copy.

I also won a spot in the 2014 Lovecraftian Micro Fiction Contest Chapbook from Arkham Bazaar. My story is called The Youngling and I’m very proud of it. Here’s what that book looks like:

You can pick this on up for $6.00 on Arkham Bazaar’s site. I don’t get the money. I just want you to read my story. It’s about a strange creature in a quiet, future Earth that stumbles across what may be the last human settlement.

Ok, gotta go. Lots to do. Thanks for reading!

Beyond the Basement Door at the HPLFF

BTBD fests

This weekend Beyond the Basement Door is playing at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival & CthulhuCon in Portland, Oregon. This is a big one for me because ever since the early script writing phase, I thought this fest would be a great fit for the movie. It’s fulfilling to see it finally come to pass. I’d like to thank the judges for including us.

BTBD has 2 different screen times and is a part of Shorts Block 2.
Saturday, May 4,  7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Upper Left Theater.
Sunday, May 5,  12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on the main screen

The Sunday screening is right before Prince of Darkness. Carpenter. One of my personal faves. It looks like Mike Davis at The Lovecraft Ezine is taking photos and video of the event. Sadly, since I couldn’t attend, I thought I’d send those of you at the fest a little message…

If you’d like to keep following the movie’s progress (which I hope you do) or would like to discuss it, please feel free to join our facebook group. I moderate it and keep it current. We’ll leave the light on for ya.

Finally, here is a two part interview we did for the blog Three If By Space. It’s a great site so put some eyeballs on it, eh?
